Runaway Bay
Runaway Bay is known for its powdery 3 mile white sand beach. The beach got its name from the fact it is from here that the last Spaniards allegedly left Jamaica after their final defeat by the British. Once known only as a satellite of Ocho Rios, Runaway Beach has today emerged as an important destination in its own right and is less crowded than its more famous neighbour.
